Our Legal Foundation

Portland Bike Library is an Oregon nonprofit public benefit corporation. We have applied for federal tax-exempt recognition as a 501(c)(3) organization and are awaiting determination from the IRS. Once recognition is granted, donations made on or after our incorporation date will be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law (the IRS recognition is generally retroactive to the date of incorporation, but please consult your tax advisor).

In accordance with our bylaws, in the event of dissolution, our assets would be distributed to another 501(c)(3) organization with a similar mission.

Support Our Mission

We rely on donations, grants, and community support to keep bikes rolling for families in SE Portland.
